The recent MGM Grand Hotel chemical leak resulted in an evacuation and a number of illnesses, wrote CNN.
High concentrations of a chemical similar to bleach seeped into a pool at the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday, causing hotel officials to evacuate some 1,500 guests and sending at least 26 people to local hospitals with breathing problems.
LAS VEGAS — All the pools at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino have been evacuated and between 20 to 30 people were affected by the fumes because of a chlorine leak.
Twenty-six people were hospitalized with breathing problems after a pump failed and continued to inject chlorine bleach into a pool at the MGM Grand. All of the people were conscious and none of the injuries are considered serious, according to officials.
